Welcome to 'Crankitup!'.
The title description says "Fixated on recumbents & other abnormal bikes" and that explains the focus of this blog but I'll elaborate. When I say abnormal bikes I'm not using the word abnormal in any derogatory sense at all. I'm using the word in recognition of the fact that for most people recumbents are 'out of the ordinary'. Having a had a recumbent now for almost five years, to me they aren't abnormal or out of the ordinary at all. To me they are perfectly normal.
Another type of bike that I've recently become interested in is Fatbikes. To most people (including myself) these bikes are definitely out of the ordinary. They are fascinating beasts. The definitive being a Surly Pugsley on Large Marge rims with tyres approaching 4 inches in width. Snow, no problem. Sand, beaches, no problem. Suspension? Not required. Those huge tyres act perfectly as suspension.
